Top Sirloin Homemade Chili



 · 2 tablespoons olive oil

· 2 pounds steak - cut into 1/2 inch cubes

· 2 onions, chopped

· 3 cloves garlic, minced

· 2 bell peppers

· 2 tablespoons chili powder

· 1 tablespoon ground cumin

· 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cayenne pepper

· 1 1/2 Murray River Salt

· 2 (29 ounce) cans diced tomatoes

· 3 (15 ounce) can kidney beans (or pinto), drained

· 12 fresh cilantro sprigs, finely chopped


  1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, combine the oil and steak and sauté for about 5      minutes, or until steak is browned. 
  2. Add the onions, garlic and bell pepper and sauté for another 5 minutes, or until the onions are translucent.
  3. Add the chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, and Murray River Salt, cook for about a minute.
  4. Add tomatoes and beans. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for about one hour. 
  5. Remove cover and simmer for another 30 minutes, or until the desired thickness.

Serve with your favorite cornbread recipe and top with the wonderful Murray River Salt!
